Call for Speakers!

The Program Committee is putting out a Call for Speakers as we are preparing for upcoming programs for 2011. We have a full set of excellent workshops and monthly meetings for 2010 and already looking for the best line up for 2011. We have created a Call for Speakers form to invite potential speakers to participate.  

We are seeking experienced speakers for our monthly meetings and for a few selected ½ day workshop events.  We are looking for presentations on topics which match requests from our membership surveys, program feedback and ASTD topic areas for Workplace Learning Professionals. 

The Call for Speakers document lists the criteria, topic areas and describes the process for completing and submitting to ASTD-RTA for consideration. Download Criteria Document

If you or someone that you know is interested in speaking at an event please complete and submit the ‘Call for Speakers’ form.  Download Call for Speakers form  If you know of a great speaker who is not a member of ASTD-RTA please pass on the invitation to them as well.

We are accepting the Call for Speakers Form from July through October 2010 to prepare for our line up of programs in 2011. The programs committee meets monthly and we vet all proposals then respond as to status. Please send one form per topic, one time to

meetings@astd-rta.org.

Venues Wanted!

ASTD RTA Chapter is aiming to provide more central locations (e.g., RTP and south Durham) for our monthly meetings and workshops. As you know, we have a limited budget and are asking our members to investigate whether your company has suitable meeting space for 50 to 100 people and would be willing to host one or more Chapter meetings. If this is a possibility, please contact programs@astd-rta.org. Thank you! (Note: meeting times may be over lunch (11:30am – 1pm), in the early evening (5:30pm – 7pm), or half day or full day workshops, all during the week.
